📰Sessions and News

View trading sessions and all important news that moves the market.

I don't go into the meaning of the different Sessions, like the US or Asian Session. You will find many well explained tutorials on the internet, Youtube, etc.

News

I have chosen to propose you all the important news ⭐️⭐️⭐️ from the famous website tradingeconomics.com. The access to their API is paying but I propose you to find all the news that they consider important in our tool and without additional costs.

We can see that some news have a direct impact on BTC

You will find the 9 most important categories:

  • Interest Rate

  • Price and Inflation

  • Labour Market

  • GDP Growth

  • Foreign Trade

  • Business Confidence

  • Consumer Sentiment

  • Housing Market

For more information on these different categories, you can consult this page: https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/indicators

By default the display of the news starts from January 1st 2023

By activating the "backtesting" function, you will have access to all the news that the tradingeconomics API offers. Even if I regularly update the dates, some important news may not appear on your charts, such as some FED speeches that are known only a few days/hours in advance.

Sessions

By default, only the last 200 candles are taken into account

You will be able to change the background color of your charts to analyze how the different sessions behave. This gives us very precise information about the market behavior. Feel free to take the time to understand how the sessions work, many excellent tutorials exist on the internet.

By default, only the last 200 candles are taken into account in order to keep the chart less saturated. You can change this number in the settings and go up to 20,000 candles (Tradingview limit for Premium subscriptions).

Here, the last 1500 candles are taken into account, we can even see that this capture was taken on a Monday.

Bitcoin halving

The famous Bitcoin halving! What is halving?

Halving is the internal mechanism of the Bitcoin system that governs the gradual decrease in rewards given to miners validating blocks. It serves to reduce the amount of crypto in circulation, in order to maintain scarcity. Bitcoin miners are rewarded for each new block they create, and this reward is divided by 2 every 4 years or so.

Before the first halving, BTC miners received 50 BTC,

  • 1st Halving (2012): 50/2= 25 BTC

  • 2nd Halving (2016): 25/2 = 12.5 BTC

  • 3rdHalving (2020): 12.5/2 = 6.25 BTC

  • 4th Halving (2024): 6.25/2 = 3.125 BTC

  • Etc.

To this day we see that after each Halving, Bitcoin experiences a very important bull phase (a bull run).

It is also important to note that the bullish phases are less and less spectacular and the accumulation phases last longer and longer:

The first and second Halving of the BTC
The third and fourth Halving of the BTC

As you can see, I have chosen to display two zones, an orange zone called "Buy the dip zone" and "Bull run zone", themselves divided into two sub-zones of 12 and 18 months.

We can see that the first Halving experienced a "Buy the dip zone", and "Bull run zone" of only 12 months.

For Halving 2 and 3, we see that the "Buy the dip zone" can be extended to 18 months. The Bull run zone is 12 months for the second Halving and 12 to 18 months for the third Halving.

We can clearly see that the cycles are getting longer, but no one can predict the future. Will the next trend follow this logic or surprise us? Of course this is not investment advice!

The Halving tool will automatically display on the Bitcoin, BTC CME and Total MCAP charts, but you can choose to display it on any asset.

Euro CBDC

I think the arrival of the digital Euro can be a big enough announcement to cause big reactions in the market.

I think that before the requirement to use this currency, there will probably be a bullish phase on crypto-assets, such as BTC, in order to promote the massive adoption of this shitcoin that is the Digital Euro. Of course this is not an investment advice!

I used the same logic as for the BTC Halving and you can change this date in the settings.
